I have decided to produce a short biographical piece in the form of a movie trailer/ director's introduction.
As usual when I make this type of piece, the first thing I will do is to write a short script of what I want to say before I begin filming.
So here goes....
Hi, I'm Neal,
I study photographic Art and Media at Hull School of Art and Design.
As part of my studies, I do Video Making.
Since last years course I have began making my own short pieces, mostly music promos.
I put together a short piece from footage taken at the Hessle Theatre Calamity Jane After Show Party. A Promo for a band called the Renaissance Boys, a singer - Paul Marklew, and a Wedding Video.
This years video requirement is to do a piece to go onto a promotional web site,
but in addition to this I am also making a short documentary for my final major piece.
The reason I seem to have embraced the film making is that it brings together all of the different sides of my life.. My Photography, My Performance and Directing skills that I learned doing amateur theatre.
This years documentary project is about the life of one of the most interesting people I know,
Paul Rogers is making an excellent subject and the results so far have been really good.
